Fabulous Location and Wonderful Hosts
''Beautiful location near all local points of interest, perfect for those who like to explore the local area and also those who want to relax. Lots of activities perfect for families and if you go in the quieter season it's perfect for groups of friends. Went for my friends birthday getaway and had a wonderful time. Freya and the hosts were so welcoming and on hand for any questions. Facilities are clean and well kept, gorgeous location, feels like you're in nature.''
Amazing in every way!
''We made the 6 hour journey to Swallowtails and it was worth every second!
We arrived to a roaring fire in the cosiest yurt you could imagine. The owner Freya explained everything to us and gave us advice on the area.
Our yurt was fab. It had everything and more. Every detail had been considered. Beds were ready to jump into after making a brew with the equipment provided.
It really was like a boutique hotel with all the advantages of camping.
The location itself is amazing. We saw seals, visited the local towns and enjoyed the countryside.
The kids were in heaven. There was a park, pond dipping, jenga etc but they loved the camp fire and just being in the yurt.
I couldn’t recommend this place more. Thanks a million for our fantastic stay 😍
A Lovely Bolt Hole for a Family Break
''We've tried family camping before, once to be honest, but spending 2 hrs erecting a tent in the drizzle and waking up shivering in the middle of night wasn't our thing. Glamping however we could totally do!
We spent the night in the Pimpernel Yurt with our two daughters and had a totally different experience. It really is home from home with everything thought through and provided from a toy basket to cafetiere! The beds are super comfy - my 7yr old said it was the comfiest bed she'd ever slept in and beats a creaky blow up bed any day. Other than stirring to the chirps of birdsong, no one left their beds until gone 8am which is unheard of in our household.
The kids loved the freedom to roam and the space to play. The pizza making was a lovely family activity and saved us needing to cook. We pond dipped in the day and picked blackberries. All very Famous Five. Twighlight tig and toasting marshmallows being enough entertainment in the evening. The beauty of Swallowtails is it's a family site that respects peace and quiet so we all climbed into bed at 10pm knowing we'd get a good night sleep. We will definitely be back, for a little longer next time.''
