At 'Swallowtails', we want everybody to enjoy themselves, but respect other campers and the Swallowtails facilities.  So check out our full 'Terms and Conditions' before you book and read the simple code below.

It is important to us that all our campers have undisturbed sleep. Stereos & amplified music are not allowed on the site.  Musicians with acoustic instruments and louder chat are welcome up to 10pm, but we ask for quiet after 11pm so that everyone stays happy and gets a good nights sleep.

Campfires are only allowed in raised fire pits/BBQ. We do not provide fire pits for hire. Fire wood can be bought from our supplies shack. However, wood can be brought onto the campsite if it is bought/bagged firewood (not wood from home gardens) to avoid cross contamination of tree diseases. Foraging in the surrounding woods for fuel damages the environment and is forbidden. Sadly, anyone found doing this will be asked to leave without refund.

A few evening drinks are often part of a relaxing holiday (for grown ups, of course). However, if heavy consumption of alcohol is going to form part of your camping experience, then Swallowtails is not for you.

Recycling is important to us and we try to make things as easy as possible for guests to recycle.  We have separate bins for recyleable and general waste streams. We can provide separate bags for rubbish and recycling.
